High def OCT for the retina has arrived!

In order to better serve our patients and keep up with modern technology, we have acquired the Cirrus HD (high definition) OCT instrument, which is like an MRI for the eye! The high def. OCT replaces our HRT instrument that we had for the past 13 years, which was similar to a CT Scan of the eye. This state-of-the-art-technology monitors change in the optic nerve, which is crucial in managing glaucoma. Also, this instrument can detect changes in the maculae, including but not limited to macular degeneration. This sophisticated instrument delivers exceptionally brilliant visualizations and examines retinal details while providing insightful analysis. It is important for medical eye care professionals like Dr. Squillace to thoroughly evaluate the retina in order to protect your precious eyes. We look forward to seeing all of our patients for both routine and medical eye care.
