August is Children’s Eye Health and Safety Month

It is so important to protect the precious, young, developing eyes of our children whether you’re a parent, guardian or coach.

None of us want our children to become an eye injury statistic. Dr. Squillace is a children’s vision specialist.

For children who require correction through contacts or glasses, it is very important you know that these provide little to no protection. Regular and prescription protective sportswear is a wonderful option to consider and will not only provide the necessary protection but peace of mind for you as well. And this isn’t just exclusive to sports, these are important for recreational activities as well! The organization Prevent Blindness estimates that over 90% of all sports related injuries are avoidable with proper eye protection!

With another new school year just around the corner, don’t forget to schedule your child for a routine eye exam. Talk to me about children’s eye health, vision correction as well as proper eye protection!
